When there is a function/disco going on room 103 is not the room you want with a 2 year old, good job it finished at 11:30.on recommending to friends would be sure to mention to ask for room away from function suite.
We got a good deal on the room rate although when we arrived there was no record of os booking in for the Friday night.......the receptionist believes that a temp may have changed all of the bookings rather than just one couple out of the party who had ammended their dates. Luckily, they still had all four rooms available and it was dealt with very well. The best bit of the stay was the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and accomodating and the food we had in the evening was amazing!!!! Fresh fish on display and cooked to order.....at first I thought it was a little costly but actually it was woth every penny and pretty good value all in all. I would definately stay here again if visiting a nearby area and i would highly reccomend to others.
The town was a little rough......didn't look like the kind of place you would like to go out in at night. We were staying for a wedding in a nearby town so this wasn't an issue for us, but the hotel was way too nice for the area.
no extra benefits for choosing that hotel over a lesser priced hotel
We used the hotel as an overnight stop over as we were attending a funeral locally so this was perfect for that.
We arrived at 12.30 am after a long drive and the night porter offered us a cup of tea, whilst he was in kitchen he set off smoke alarm which rang from 1am to 1.30 am as he couldn't find any one to turn it off unbelievable. Then it came on again at 7am! Surely management should inform staff of this procedure. Breakfast was very good but we were only half way through it when a cleaner started up a carpet washer which was so loud that we couldn't talk and the smell of chemicals was over powering, we asked her to stop but she said she wouldn't as it was her job!!! Again management should start those sort of jobs after the breakfast sitting is over, very poor!
Excellent staff and very clean comfortable room made this hotel great value for money.
Convenient access to Neath Town Centre.
The background music in La Mancha restaurant was rather overpowering - no quiet corner where you could converse quietly.
The hotel staff are welcoming and can't do enough for you. Service excellence.
The hotel was comfortable, the bed was comfortable and the breakfasts were very good, very large choice. We particularly liked the ambience in the dining room, the restaurant was evidently very popular with local people, and the sense of their enjoyment definitely added to our enjoyment.
The decor is modern and attractive, and the room tastefully appointed and comfortable.
Everything about our stay from start to finish was absolutely superb. We will definitely be returning.
Only issue is the parking. However this was quickly resolved by staff moving their own vehicles.
The Executive room was very comfortable, the restaurant nicely decorated and clean, breakfast was nice and there was no waiting.
Staff are very frendly and helpful, excellent room decor that would suit all clientele, room clean and comfortable.
Couldn't open the bedroom window because of the noise from the fan and running train.
My wife and I thought this was truely an excellent hotel. I have recently retired from a large multinational company and travelled the world for over 30 years, staying at top class hotels. This was up there with the very best.
The Restaurant, The meal choice and presentation left a lot to be desired.
Staff were excellent and very flexible.
